FC-2500 Data Collector

Charlie McCutcheon is a friend of mine who is a surveyor in Harrison, Arkansas. In November of 2008 he purchased a LaserZone system and an FC-2500 Data Collector in order to carry out some highly accurate vertical elevation work on a road construction job he had at the time.

DSC00681The project is complete; he no longer needs the system and wants to sell it. The pictures shown here are recent pictures. If you are in the market for a really good deal on a system that is truly LIKE NEW just give Charlie McCutcheon a call at 870-741-9147 or email him at: cmsurvey@windstream.net

He will sell the items together or separate:

The LaserZone system is $9,250. Manufacturers list is $12,490 for the laser, sensor, chargers, and a case. It is a product that is in current production.

The FC-2500 is $3,250. In addition to GPS+ Software it also has Robotics Software installed. Manufacturers list is $5,190. This product is Topcon’s premier data collector and it is in current production as well.

I know Charlie to be a square guy who does what he says he will do. In my opinion you will be very pleased in any business dealings you might have with him. I always have.

I have no monetary interest in this at all. This website does not have any official affiliation with Hayes Instrument Company. Hayes will occasionally list items on their website under “Customer Owned Equipment” to help people out. This is just another way of doing it.

Used Surveying Equipment

A great investment and an option worth considering. It’s all about value.

By: Wesley Worrell

A part of conducting the business of selling surveying equipment in the best possible way is to always maintain a genuine interest in helping a potential customer find the very best value for the money he or she is about to invest. In order for someone to make a decision about the value of an equipment investment they must be able to make a comparative analysis against other products similar in kind. This comparison can be made against other brands, similar models within a brand, and also against used equipment within a brand family. They may very well give consideration to all, or some combination of those choices, so long as the product supports all of the features they want and need to accomplish the surveying jobs they intend to do.

Every salesman here at Hayes Instrument Company is keenly aware of those fundamental principles, and will do all they can to insure a potential customer has all the information they need about the products we sell so that they can make the best equipment buying decision for their individual circumstances. It is for this reason that we will always do our best to speak to all of the different equipment configurations that will fulfill a customer’s requirements – including used equipment. Used equipment purchased from Hayes Instrument Company is always a very good investment. All of it has been gone through inside and out by highly experienced, factory trained and qualified technicians. If there are any defective components they are replaced. The products are thoroughly cleaned, calibrated, tested, and put up for sale complete with a ninety day warranty and thirty day money back satisfaction guarantee.

For many, in today’s economic climate, used equipment may be the very best equipment investment decision. Cutting costs while maintaining or increasing productivity is more important than ever. Some companies have downsized considerably. Owners and senior personnel in a lot of cases are vacating rented office spaces and are operating businesses out of their homes. Many of these people will call us inquiring about the prospect of acquiring a robotic or GPS system so that they can work alone, or with occasional part time help. Many times they will own an existing conventional total station and data collector that they are interested in trading in to us. Often they will inquire about a new system to start with. It may be that they begin their inquiry that way because they are confused about our policies regarding taking trade ins against used equipment, or it may be that they do not know that most used equipment can be financed the same as new equipment. Whatever the case, they will learn before the call is over that we happily take trade ins against used as well as new equipment, and that we will also finance much of our used equipment inventory through our in-house Worry Free Lease plan.

Whatever your individual circumstances and plans are, just give us a call about your equipment needs. When all is said and done we want you to get the best value for your investment – used equipment is often a way of doing that.

We are here for you and will help you all we can.
